A woman has shared a budget-friendly beauty hack to remove stubborn carpet stains using micellar water, which costs as little as £2.50. The method, posted on TikTok by Katy Rose Carter, shows how to lift marks from wine, coffee, and red lipstick in minutes.
In her video, Carter applies a small amount of micellar water directly onto each stain, rubbing it in with a cotton pad. She then blots the area with a towel dipped in water, revealing the stains have vanished completely.
Carter said: 'If you don't already know, micellar water is phenomenal at getting stains out of the carpet. Just pop a tiny little amount over where the stains are, give it a rub with a cotton pad. Then go back in with just water on a cotton pad, blot it and there you have it.'
Other users praised the hack, with one saying it works wonders on hair dye stains, while another noted it removed curry with turmeric from a dressing gown. A third commented it is great for cleaning makeup off coat collars, and a fourth said it works on trainer scuffs.
