Liverpool have been given transfer green lights for three targets worth a combined £260 million, as new manager Andoni Iraola looks to strengthen his squad this summer. The club secured £446 million worth of talent last summer, including Florian Wirtz, Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike and Milos Kerkez, but Iraola is now pursuing additional firepower.
Yan Diomande: £100m Priority Target
Ivorian winger Yan Diomande is Liverpool's number one priority, but RB Leipzig rejected an £86 million bid. The German club wants closer to £112 million, though they publicly insist Diomande is not for sale, according to the Daily Mail. They plan to offer him a new deal with a significant release clause.
The 19-year-old wants the Anfield move, and there is internal frustration with the player and agent over the delay. Liverpool may meet in the middle with a £100 million offer.
Bradley Barcola: £100m PSG Star
Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, 23, is reportedly weighing up his future after three successful seasons in Ligue 1, during which he won two Champions Leagues and three league titles. Arsenal were initially leading the race, but Liverpool have reignited their interest, according to French outlet Le10Sport. Barcola is said to be "thrilled" at the potential move and "excited" by Iraola's project.
Any deal with PSG would likely command a similar fee to Diomande, meaning £200 million on two wingers alone.
Adam Wharton: £60m Midfielder
Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton, 21, has not explicitly stated a desire to join Liverpool, but he is planning for a move to the top of the Premier League after winning the Conference League, FA Cup and Community Shield with Palace. Co-owner Steve Parish said in October 2025: "Look, I think Adam at some point will want to play, either in the Champions League with us, if we could make that happen, or probably with another club. He’s an extraordinary talent."
TeamTALK reports Liverpool plan to build their midfield around Dominik Szoboszlai and Wharton, who is valued at around £60 million.
Total Outlay and Impact
A total outlay of approximately £260 million would be required to bring all three to Anfield. After last summer's spending spree, it is another huge investment, but one that would give Iraola the perfect launchpad to secure success next season.
