Bad Coffee Can Ruin Your Day: Study Reveals Impact

A new study by SharkNinja reveals that a bad cup of coffee can significantly disrupt your entire day. The research highlights that missing out on a good morning brew or having a poor one is a common complaint among coffee drinkers, affecting their mood and energy levels.

Key Findings on Coffee's Impact

According to the study, the biggest complaints after a lack of caffeine include sluggishness or low energy (29.9%), feelings of fatigue and tiredness (28.9%), and irritability (17.4%). More than half of coffee drinkers (54%) admit that a ruined first coffee impacts their mood for the remainder of the day.

TV presenter and author Frankie Bridge, known for her love of morning coffee, shared her experience: “Having a bad coffee can throw me off for the rest of the day. That’s why I’ve officially banned 'Brew-tal' mornings.”

Common Coffee Crimes

The study also identified the top "coffee crimes" that lead to disappointment. These include using expired milk (36%), burnt coffee beans (17%), being served the wrong coffee order (15%), and using the wrong milk alternative (14%). To salvage a failed home brew, 19% of coffee drinkers immediately buy a takeaway coffee. Additionally, around 17% admitted to spending up to £100 every month on takeaway coffees to avoid morning disappointment.

Solution: Ninja AutoBarista

To address these issues, Ninja has launched the Ninja AutoBarista, an automatic espresso, filter, and cold brew machine. It automatically sets the perfect grind, temperature, and milk froth style, delivering a café-style drink at the touch of a button. Frankie Bridge, a devotee of the machine, said, “Having a machine like the Ninja AutoBarista in the kitchen is an absolute lifesaver. It does the thinking for me when I’m half-asleep, giving me a perfect, café-quality latte at the touch of a button. No disappointment, no stressful café queues, just guaranteed survival in a mug.”
