Donald Trump has faced backlash after being filmed making what observers described as a 'creepy move' toward Brigitte Macron during the G7 Summit in France. The incident occurred following a dinner hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron at the Palace of Versailles.
Video Sparks Controversy
A clip shared on social media by user Acyn shows Trump interacting with the Macrons as he departs the dinner. After exchanging customary cheek kisses with Brigitte Macron, Trump appears to lean in again, puckering his lips and placing a hand on her shoulder. Brigitte visibly steps back, ending the exchange.
Social media users were quick to comment on her body language. One wrote: 'Look at her body language. She doesn't want to be anywhere near him!' Another said: 'The step back when he touched her again. I bet she threw up after.' A third added: 'I'm sure she was horrified! He tried again and she pulled away.'
Mixed Reactions
However, not everyone condemned Trump's actions. Some defended him, noting that the gesture could be interpreted as a standard greeting or an attempt to maintain balance. One commenter remarked: 'I hate Trump, but he doesn't pull her. That's standard for a hello and a goodbye.' Another suggested: 'No, he grabbed her for stability.'
The incident follows earlier reports of Trump's alleged 'creepy behavior' during the summit, including an instance where he appeared to grip Brigitte's hand tightly. The controversy has reignited discussions about Trump's interactions with world leaders and their spouses.
