McDonald's is scrapping its Wrap of the Day promotion after 15 years, replacing it with a new app-based deal that has already drawn criticism from some customers. The fast-food giant announced that from July 14, the long-running offer will be replaced by 'Get Any Wrap in the App,' allowing customers to choose any wrap for £2.49—but only through the McDonald's app.
What Is Changing?
The Wrap of the Day deal, which offered a discounted price on a specific wrap each day, is being retired. The new offer, 'Get Any Wrap in the App,' lets customers pick any wrap they want for £2.49, but with restrictions: it can only be used once per day, between 11am and 11pm, and exclusively via the app. Customers ordering in-store without the app will pay full price, which ranges from £4 to £6.
McDonald's Statement
A McDonald's spokesperson said: 'Our Wrap of the Day offer gives customers exceptional value every day. We are always listening to feedback, and customers told us they want more choice, which is why we're refreshing the offer to make it even better. From July 14, our new Get Any Wrap in the App offer will enable customers to redeem any wrap for £2.49, any day of the week, on the McDonald's App.' They added that moving the deal to the app gives customers more flexibility.

Reactions have been mixed. On Reddit, users called the changes 'annoying,' with one describing the app as a 'complete nightmare.' Others expressed frustration over a previous price increase from £1.99 to £2.49 earlier in 2026. On TikTok, some declared they would stop visiting McDonald's, while others welcomed the ability to choose any wrap.
The change follows McDonald's decision to discontinue grilled chicken wraps, leaving only crispy chicken options.
