The Royal Mint has unveiled a new collection of collectable 50p coins themed around the elemental duality of ice and fire from the fantasy drama Game of Thrones, marking the show's 15th anniversary. The coins, created in collaboration with Warner Bros Discovery Global Consumer Products, go on sale from 9am on Wednesday.

Coin Designs and Pricing

The collection includes a range of 50p coins featuring colour to bring the designs to life. Prices start at £15 for a brilliant uncirculated coin, £27.50 for a brilliant uncirculated colour coin, £92.50 for a silver coin, and £2,420 for a gold coin. Delivery is expected in autumn 2026.

Commemorating a Cultural Phenomenon

Game of Thrones first aired in 2011 and has inspired a passionate global fanbase. Rebecca Morgan, director at The Royal Mint, said: “Game of Thrones captured the imagination of millions around the world, and 15 years on, that passion is still as fierce as dragon fire.” She added: “Whether you’re a lifelong fan or discovering the Seven Kingdoms for the first time, these coins are a stunning tribute to one of the greatest stories ever told.”
