Curtis Jones' 16-year association with Liverpool could be nearing its end. The club have resumed talks with Inter over the sale of the midfielder. The Serie A champions reached out to the Reds to signal their intention to offer £30m for the midfielder. Those talks advanced on Wednesday, with a deal appearing closer.
Speculation linking the player with the Italian club first surfaced on deadline day in January of this year. Inter rekindled their pursuit of the 25-year-old this summer, having previously been unable to agree on a fee with Liverpool. The Italian giants saw two offers knocked back for the England international, the most recent being a £21.7m bid in June. Should Jones depart Merseyside, he would leave having made 228 appearances for the Reds, contributing 22 goals and 25 assists, and claiming six major honours, including two Premier League titles.
