Everton Women Sign France U23 Forward Noemie Mouchon

Everton Women have signed France Under-23s international forward Noemie Mouchon on a free transfer from Leicester City. The 23-year-old becomes Everton’s first addition of the summer transfer window.

New Signing and Contract News

Mouchon’s arrival follows the announcements that long-serving captain Megan Finnigan has penned a new contract, while the club have activated a one-year option for Aurora Galli and completed the permanent transfer of fellow midfielder Zara Kramzar after her Blues loan spell last season.

Mouchon's Career Path

Mouchon began her career at childhood club Lille before moving to Reims following a prolific four years in northern France. A stellar season at Reims saw the attacker claim the Premiere Ligue Player of the Month trophy in April 2024. Her sharp-shooting for France’s youth sides on the international stage saw her become one of Europe’s hottest prospects.

A move to the WSL beckoned as Mouchon made the switch to Leicester City in July 2024, reuniting with Amandine Miquel, who managed Mouchon at Reims. Now in L4, Everton’s newest recruit expressed her desire to succeed in royal blue.

Player's Ambition

Mouchon told evertontv: “I feel really excited to start with the team and this new club. I am the type of player who can bring something on the pitch. I am a fast player, and I love to score goals, so I can’t wait. I just want to score a lot with Everton. That’s my only objective.”

WSL Impact

Mouchon notched her first goal in the WSL against the Blues with a powerful strike after a great run, holding Everton to a point at the King Power Stadium last October. She then found the back of the net against European champions Arsenal and added to her tally against Chelsea and Everton at the end-of-season World Sevens tournament in London.

The forward also played for Leicester in the finale of Everton’s inaugural campaign at Goodison Park as Maz Pacheco’s 96th-minute winner sealed victory for Scott Phelan’s side.

Excitement for Goodison

Mouchon said: “I am really excited because Goodison is really loud, the fans are really loud. I am so excited to play in this stadium. I can’t wait to play in front of Evertonians. I can’t wait to meet them because I think they are really big supporters of this team.”

Technical Director's Comments

Everton technical director, Nick Cox, said: “We are really pleased to strengthen our attacking options with the signing of Noemie. Unsurprisingly for a player of her talent, she was wanted by other clubs but was keen to sign for Everton and help us to progress. Noemie has experience of playing in France and the WSL while, at the age of 23, has potential to get even better and we are looking forward to helping her do that at Everton.”
