Donyell Malen Leaves Aston Villa For Roma Loan

Aston Villa forward Donyell Malen has joined Roma on loan with an option to buy, just a year after his arrival from Borussia Dortmund. The Serie A side will pay a loan fee of £1.7m, with a permanent transfer fee of £21.6m contingent on certain conditions being met.

Malen, 26, made 46 appearances for Villa in all competitions, scoring seven goals. His move could facilitate a swap deal involving Roma's Tammy Abraham, who is currently on loan at Besiktas and has previously spent a season on loan at Villa Park.

In other transfer news, Sunderland have signed winger Jocelin Ta Bi from Maccabi Netanya on a four-and-a-half-year contract. The 20-year-old Ivorian, who was also wanted by Celtic and several French clubs, spent the first half of this season on loan at Hapoel Petah Tikva, scoring two goals and providing two assists in 12 appearances.

Ta Bi expressed his excitement about the move, stating: 'Playing in the Premier League has always been a dream of mine.' He will be unavailable for Sunderland's match against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Atalanta have signed Italy forward Giacomo Raspadori from Atletico Madrid after an underwhelming six-month stint in La Liga. The 25-year-old, who won two Serie A titles with Napoli, managed just two goals in 15 appearances for Atletico. He has signed a contract with Atalanta until 2030, with a reported transfer fee of €25m plus bonuses.
