Two corrections have been issued in the Guardian. The first concerns a forecast about heat deaths linked to El Niño. It was previously reported that up to 451,000 extra deaths were projected between September 2026 and February 2027. In fact, the period is June 2026 to February 2027.
Misspelling of Tove Jansson's name
The second correction relates to the Moomins author, Tove Jansson. Her surname was misspelled as “Jannson” in a caption accompanying an article titled ‘Filled with love’, published on 17 September. The error appeared in print only.
