Bournemouth have reportedly made a firm decision to retain three of their key players amid interest from Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United. The Cherries enjoyed a remarkable second half of the season, securing a sixth-place finish in the Premier League and qualifying for the Europa League for the first time in the club's history. Andoni Iraola's side finished just three points behind Liverpool, who clinched Champions League qualification.
Key Trio Attracting Attention
As a result of their success, several Bournemouth players have been linked with moves away from the Vitality Stadium. Eli Junior Kroupi, Alex Scott, and Rayan have all seen their futures become the subject of speculation in recent weeks. Various outlets report that Bournemouth are determined to keep all three players beyond this summer, despite interest from some of the Premier League's biggest clubs.
Alex Scott's Situation
Scott is under contract until 2028, and it is reported that the former Bristol City star could be offered a new deal to prevent the playmaker from leaving. Thomas Tuchel did not include Scott in the 26-man England squad for this summer's World Cup, but the 22-year-old will be part of the Three Lions' pre-tournament squad for friendlies against Costa Rica and New Zealand. Manchester United have been linked with a move for Scott as they look to strengthen their midfield, with Atalanta's Ederson on the verge of moving to Old Trafford in a £38 million deal.
Eli Junior Kroupi's Impact
Kroupi has enjoyed an impressive full debut season in English football after arriving in January last year, scoring 13 goals in the Premier League. His form has sparked rumours that Arsenal may pursue a deal for the 19-year-old, with several other clubs also monitoring his progress.
Rayan's Release Clause
Rayan only signed for Bournemouth in January from Brazilian club Vasco da Gama and is under contract until 2031. However, the Cherries are mindful that the forward has an £87 million release clause in his contract, which will become active next summer. United are thought to be prioritising midfield reinforcements this summer, with a host of players linked alongside Ederson, including Elliot Anderson of Nottingham Forest and Sandro Tonali of Newcastle, as well as Scott.
It remains to be seen where Arsenal will look to strengthen after winning the Premier League title, with a left winger mentioned as a potential area for investment in the transfer market.
