Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor reportedly searching for home in France

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is reportedly searching for a property in France, it has been claimed. The disgraced former prince has allegedly been seen this summer in the South of France, specifically around Nice and Cannes.

This report comes months after Andrew was evicted from Royal Lodge in Windsor and moved into a smaller abode on King Charles’ private Sandringham Estate. Since moving into Marsh Farm, Andrew has been seen very few times as he continues to keep a low profile following scandals surrounding the Epstein Files and Andrew’s past friendship with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew has always denied wrongdoing and accusations against him.

Author claims Andrew has access to his passport

Making the claim that Andrew is in France, author Andrew Lownie wrote in his latest Substack post that the former Duke of York still has access to his passport. This is despite still being under police investigation following his arrest in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office. It is believed the former duke is still allowed to travel as he pleases despite the investigation.

Lownie, who wrote the bombshell book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, said King Charles is aware Andrew is in France.

Spotted in South of France with two women

Lownie said: "Andrew has not been stuck forlornly in Marsh Farm over the summer. He retains his passport and regularly travels abroad with the knowledge of the King."

"Andrew has been in the South of France, where he was spotted in a red baseball cap, white trousers, Timberland shoes and Ray Ban glasses and accompanied by two forty-something women – one blond and the other with red hair. It is said he is looking for a property in the region."

Buckingham Palace and representatives for the former Duke of York have been contacted for comment.

Declined Balmoral invite

The news that Andrew could be in France comes after reports he had declined an invite to Balmoral Castle this summer. A source told The Sun: "He feels like he is no longer part of the family."

"He was invited but has got no great desire to be at Balmoral as he has nothing to gain and would be treated as an outcast. What’s the point, he feels, of going all the way there for a much-needed holiday and being treated as an elephant in the room?"
