Aberdeen Close In on Tony Yogane After Dundee Loan Success
Aberdeen Close In on Tony Yogane Transfer

Aberdeen are closing in on the signing of Tony Yogane. The Dons have agreed a deal with Brentford to land the winger, which will include a number of add-ons to which the English Premier League side will be entitled. Yogane has now been given permission to travel north to complete his move.

The 20-year-old impressed on loan at Dundee last season. Stephen Robinson has since decided to move for the wide man. Yogane was a standout for the Dark Blues in the second half of the season. He previously worked with Steven Pressley at Brentford and moved to Dens Park to work with him.

Robinson is looking to add more creativity to his side and Yogane ticks that box. He brings pace and power. Yogane played 41 games for Dundee last season. Pressley had wanted to take him back but admitted it was unlikely given how well he had done.

Brentford bought him from Sheffield Wednesday in 2022. He also had a loan spell at Exeter City. Aberdeen have already done extensive work this summer, bringing in Lewis Mayo, Brad Lyons, Dan Happe, Alexander Briedl, Toyosi Olusanya and Connor Ronan.

Aberdeen are currently back in pre-season training. The Dons still need to move several players on this summer to free up wages. The likes of Marko Lazetic, Ante Palaversa and Nicolas Milanovic are all likely to leave Aberdeen this summer.

Aberdeen head to the Netherlands for their pre-season camp. They then begin their campaign early in the Premier Sports Cup assault, facing Brora Rangers, Queen's Park, Queen of the South and Kelty Hearts.
