Commuters are facing major disruption on Monday morning after Metro services were cancelled due to signalling issues and "power supply problems" that have brought trains to a halt.
No trains in Sunderland and North Tyneside
No trains are currently running between Park Lane and South Hylton in Sunderland in either direction because of a power supply problem. In North Tyneside, no trains are running between Monkseaton and Wallsend in either direction due to signalling problems.
Ticket acceptance on buses
Ticket acceptance has been made available on bus services while the disruption continues. Commuters are advised to check for updates as the situation develops.
