The M4 eastbound between Bridgend and Cardiff has been closed following a serious collision on Monday morning. The incident is causing severe delays of up to half an hour as of 8.30am on Monday.
Heavy congestion on approach
Traffic cameras show heavy congestion between junctions 35 for Pencoed and 34 for Miskin. A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "We're at the scene of a serious collision eastbound on the M4 between junction 35 Pencoed and junction 34 Llantrisant. The road is currently closed in the eastbound direction."
Road expected to remain closed
The force says the road is expected to remain closed for some time. Motorists are being advised to avoid the area.
