Dad's 'savage' revenge on plane seat-kicking boy wins praise

A father's 'savage' payback against a nine-year-old boy who repeatedly kicked his daughter's seat on an overnight flight has earned widespread approval online. The 14-year-old girl recounted the story of her journey home from India with her father, during which she was desperate to get some rest before touchdown.

Writing on Reddit, she explained that the family of three, including a son aged about nine or ten, was seated behind them. Despite polite requests from her father, the boy continued kicking her seat. 'We tell him again (more firmly this time), but no luck,' she wrote.

In response, her father reclined his seat fully, limiting the space available to the disruptive youngster. When the boy's parents asked him to put the seat up, he refused. They called a flight attendant, who sided with the father after witnessing the boy's behaviour firsthand, confirming he was within his rights to keep his seat reclined.

The daughter recalled: 'He walks away with the dad left spluttering and cursing under his breath. Fun times!' She added that the parents eventually got the child to stop kicking, but glared at her, her father, and the flight attendant. Her father kept the seat reclined for another hour before putting it up.

Commenters praised the father's actions, with one calling it an 'A+ in petty revenge' and another saying: 'Well done. Made them make the kid stop kicking, and got the added benefit of making them seem crazy.'
