Lancashire glamping pod with hot tub is perfect family holiday
Lancashire glamping pod with hot tub perfect for families

A Lancashire campsite just 35 minutes from Greater Manchester offers a perfect family holiday with luxury glamping pods, wood-fired hot tubs, and handcrafted pizza.

Glamping at Stanley Villa Farm

The award-winning family-run glamping site in Weeton With Preese, Fylde, features wooden pods and bell tents set among lush green fields, ponds and lakes. One family of three opted for a 'Woods View' pod with its own fire pit and hot tub. Inside were a single and double mattress (guests must bring their own pillows, bedding and sheets), electric lights and a heater.

Attached via wooden decking, a wood-fired hot tub required lighting the fire. It took about two hours to reach a comfortable temperature and stayed warm until the next morning. Each pod also has a wood burner, with wood and firelighters provided. S'mores kits with marshmallows, chocolate and biscuits are available.

Facilities and activities

There are no plug sockets in the pods – encouraging guests to switch off – but the communal area has sockets, a kitchen and dining area. Battery packs can be hired from reception. Separate toilet and shower blocks were clean with good water pressure.

On-site activities include daily animal feeding at 4pm with sheep, goats and chickens, a 'tiki trail' with hidden statues that rewards children with a sweet prize, and an outdoor activity area with ping pong, bean bag toss, archery and axe-throwing.

Food and dining

Guests can bring their own BBQ or food, or try freshly cooked pizzas from the on-site food van. The family shared a Hawaiian (£12) and a spicy hot honey (£13) pizza, described as delicious with tangy tomato sauce and thin crispy base. A hot dog (£4) was also enjoyed. The van opens in the morning for breakfast butties from £3.50.

The site felt quiet despite most pods being occupied, with strict noise rules ensuring a good night's sleep. The family's four-year-old was already asking when they could go camping again.
