An avid hiker has shared a 10-mile walk in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park that goes past 10 different waterfalls, combining three of the walking trails in Waterfall Country.
One of the most incredible walks
Dan Butler posted a video of his hike, saying: "This is one of the most incredible walks in South Wales. 10 miles, 10 waterfalls and every single one is worth it. This is why if you're looking for one of the best hikes in South Wales, this is it."
The route took him up and down the peaks of the national park, through woodland, and past the waterfalls. Some trails allowed him to get behind the bigger waterfalls, while others he enjoyed from a distance.
Route details
Butler followed the Waterfall Country Circuit route created by Chris Knight, with one extra waterfall added at the end. He started at Dinas Rock, then joined the Four Waterfalls Trail and linked it with the Elidir Trail.
He added: "Make sure you stick around because the final waterfall isn't actually on any of these trails and it's easily the best one of the day. This route takes you through beautiful Woodland, river crossings, incredible valley views and of course waterfall after waterfall. And honestly, the final waterfall made every single step worth it."
If 10 miles is too much, the three trails can be walked separately as shorter hikes.
