Piatto, an Italian street food restaurant in Glasgow's Southside, has been named the regional winner for Scotland at the 2026 Uber Eats Restaurant of the Year Awards. The award was revealed on Wednesday, August 26, ahead of the grand final later this year.
Authentic Italian dishes at Piatto
Located in the Shawlands suburb of Glasgow, Piatto specialises in authentic Italian street food. With more than 70 years of combined professional experience, the restaurant aims to offer a genuine taste of Italy with fresh ingredients and bold flavours.
The menu includes a wide selection of pasta dishes such as traditional Italian carbonara with pancetta, pesto genovese with extra virgin olive oil and cherry tomatoes, and arrabiata with fresh chillies and tomatoes. Other options include bolognese, puttanesca, and amatriciana.
Chicken dishes, house specials, and desserts
Customers can also enjoy chargrilled chicken breast topped with calabrese chilli peppers, butterflied chicken breast coated in Panko breadcrumbs, and Milanese breast topped with Napoli sauce, parmesan, and mozzarella. House specials include gnocchi bolognese, linguine ai gamberoni, and gnocchi pesto.
For dessert, Piatto offers options like chocolate hazelnut and salted caramel cannolis. The venue also serves a wide selection of coffees alongside various smoothies and soft drinks such as Sanpellegrino and Irn-Bru.

Piatto founder Kieran Paterson commented: "We're absolutely delighted to be nominated for Uber Eats Restaurant of the Year 2026. It's a huge honour for us and the entire team, and we're genuinely excited to head to London for the judging day."
