The Celebrity Traitors returns for its second series on Thursday, October 1, with the BBC One show once again filmed at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands. While Ardross Castle itself is not available to rent, a range of other castles across Scotland can be booked for a Traitors-themed getaway.

The Daily Record has highlighted five castles suitable for such a break, from Knock Old Castle in Largs to Machermore Castle in Newton Stewart.

Dollarbeg Castle in Clackmannanshire is a smaller, more affordable option that has been included on Airbnb's list of the "most wish-listed Scottish castles" for a Traitors-inspired staycation. Sleeping up to six guests, it can be booked for as little as £782. The accommodation is a luxury flat with three themed bedrooms, a sitting room with a sound system, a full kitchen, a dining area, a rooftop terrace, and a cinema room.
Machermore Castle, dating back to the 16th century, sits within 30 acres of grounds along the River Cree at the gateway to the Galloway Forest Park. It sleeps up to 20 people from £2,896 for seven nights, with 10 bedrooms, a huge banqueting hall, and a catering kitchen. A separate annexe adds three more bedrooms, another kitchen, and an extra living area.
Hotel-style and grand choices
Glenapp Castle in South Ayrshire, a five-star hotel that resembles Ardross Castle, has appeared on the BBC programme Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby. It offers 17 bedroom suites and has received three AA Rosettes for its food, with the Azalea venue highlighted as a unique dining space.
Dalnaglar Castle, an 18th century turreted castle in Perthshire within viewing distance of the Cairngorms National Park, sleeps up to 20 guests and can be booked for £24,090 for seven nights. It features a drawing room and library, ideal for round-table showdowns, with 10 bedrooms set out over three floors.
