easyJet has reminded families of a rule affecting children flying from its 22 UK airports: toy guns and imitation firearms are banned from hand luggage.
What the rule says
The airline's dangerous goods and prohibited articles list states that "toy guns, replicas and imitation firearms capable of being mistaken for real weapons" are not allowed in cabin baggage.
Unlike Ryanair, which bans them completely in both hand and checked luggage, easyJet permits toy guns to be placed in hold baggage.
Airport network
easyJet operates from 22 UK airports, including London Gatwick, London Luton, London Southend, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Newcastle became a new base in 2026, and the airline says its UK network offers more than 640 routes to around 140 destinations.
The restriction applies across easyJet's wider flight network, not just UK departures. TUI, Ryanair and Jet2 also have similar restrictions on toy weapons.
