The Champions League draw takes place from 5pm UK time on Thursday, with Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Aston Villa and Liverpool set to discover their league phase opponents.
Format and Qualification
Since the 2024/25 season, the Champions League has been revamped to a 36-team table where each team plays eight different opponents. They are pitted against two opponents from each of the four pots, playing one home game and one away game from each.
The top eight teams in the table after those games will progress automatically. Teams in ninth to 24th will be drawn against each other in a play-off round, while 25th to 36th will be eliminated.

Knockout Dates
Play-offs are scheduled for February 16/17 and 23/24, with the Round of 16 on March 9/10 and 16/17. Quarter-finals take place on April 6/7 and 13/14, and semi-finals on April 27/28 and May 4/5. The final is set for June 5.
