Oasis fans heading to Heaton Park in Manchester for the band's reunion tour this weekend have been warned to expect wet conditions and to leave umbrellas at home. The Met Office has issued a yellow thunderstorm warning for the area, valid from midnight until 9pm on Saturday, with heavy rain and possible disruption.
The official Manchester Live 25 help page advised concert-goers: 'Morning all. As we've had some rain, please note the ground on site may be wet. Please wear suitable footwear and bring waterproofs. Umbrellas are not allowed into the venue as they can hinder others viewing experience.'
Heaton Park is an outdoor venue, offering no shelter from the rain. However, spirits are expected to remain high as fans enjoy the long-awaited reunion. The band has already performed four shows at the park, with a fifth and final Manchester gig scheduled for Sunday before they head to Wembley.
Gigs and Tours also reminded attendees of prohibited items, including bags larger than A4 paper, backpacks, outside chairs, and food and drink. Empty plastic bottles are allowed, with water refill points available on site.
