A four-year-old boy has died after reportedly getting into his parents' car and falling asleep as the sun beat down on it.

Incident in Mardin

Muhammed Aras Temel fell asleep in his family's car with the door open in the Mazıdağı district of Mardin in Turkey on Sunday. He suffered a seizure due to the hot weather. He was rushed to hospital, but despite all efforts, he tragically lost his life.

Family took him to hospital

Muhammed reportedly got into his family's car, which had its door open, and fell asleep inside after a while. Noticing that their child had been sitting in the car for a long time in the sun, his family took him to Mazıdağı State Hospital, where it was determined that he had suffered a seizure.

Transfer and death

The little boy was then transferred to Mardin Training and Research Hospital. The child, who was receiving treatment, passed away despite all the doctors' efforts.

Investigation launched

Muhammed Aras' body was taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
