The south of England and the Midlands will be most affected, with London forecast to reach 29C and Birmingham 27C. Coastal areas like Brighton are expected to see around 25C, while Norwich could hit 27C. However, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and northern England will experience milder conditions, with temperatures in the late teens and early 20s.
The warm spell may persist into the following week, with maps for July 30 showing highs of 27C in London, Oxford, Bournemouth, and Portsmouth. Birmingham is predicted to cool slightly to 24C.
The Met Office's long-range forecast for July 27 to August 5 suggests a mixed outlook, with westerly winds bringing showers or longer spells of rain, particularly in the west and northwest. Drier and sunnier weather is more likely in the east and south, with temperatures near or slightly above average.
