The powerful storm system is expected to bring significant disruption, including potential power outages, hazardous travel conditions, and localised flooding.

The UK Met Office has issued multiple weather warnings for Northern Ireland, highlighting the risk of very strong winds that could cause structural damage to buildings. Flying debris such as roof tiles poses a genuine danger to life, while prolonged rainfall totals of 20-30mm are anticipated widely, with up to 50-70mm possible on elevated terrain in eastern areas.

Travel networks are expected to face severe disruption throughout Tuesday. The Met Office advises the public to prepare for longer journey times and probable cancellations affecting road, rail, air, and ferry services. There is also a substantial likelihood of power cuts occurring, which may subsequently impact mobile phone coverage and other essential services in affected regions.

Forecasters have warned that some communities could become temporarily isolated due to flooded roads. Outbreaks of rain will spread across Northern Ireland during Tuesday, with precipitation potentially turning to snow over the highest ground. In the Republic of Ireland, Met Éireann has activated yellow-level warnings for rain and wind across numerous counties, including Carlow, Dublin, Cork, and Kerry.

A status yellow warning for rain was active from midday until midnight on Monday for parts of Northern Ireland. This was immediately followed by a yellow warning for wind and rain covering all of Northern Ireland for the entirety of Tuesday. A more severe amber warning for wind is also in place for the north and east of the region between 5am and 9pm on Tuesday.
Regarding education, Northern Ireland's Education Authority stated on Monday afternoon that there were no plans for general school closures. However, it emphasised that local school leaders should assess conditions in their areas and make independent decisions if required to ensure safety.
