Greater Manchester is set for another spell of warm weather next week, with temperatures climbing into the mid-20s as sunshine returns across the region, according to the latest Met Office forecast.
Gradual Warming Trend
After a cooler start to July, forecasters predict a gradual warming trend through the week, with conditions remaining largely dry and settled overall. High pressure is expected to build across the UK, bringing a renewed spell of warmer air northwards, with temperatures potentially edging up further as the week progresses, the Met Office said.
In Greater Manchester, Monday and Tuesday are due to reach around 22°C, before temperatures edge up to 23°C on Wednesday. Nights are expected to remain mild, with largely dry conditions and occasional cloud breaking to allow for brighter spells of sunshine.
Midweek Peak and Weekend Outlook
The weather looks set to continue steadily increasing beyond the midweek. BBC Weather forecasts that Thursday (July 9) will reach around 26°C in the region, the highest temperature of the week, before slightly easing to 25°C on Friday (July 10) and settling back down to 24°C as the weekend begins. Despite these fluctuations, temperatures are expected to remain above the seasonal average throughout.
While there may be some variation in cloud cover at times, the overall theme remains warm, dry and pleasantly sunny for much of the period, making for favourable conditions for outdoor plans.
Regional Variations
Southern parts of the UK may see higher peak temperatures at times, but Greater Manchester is expected to remain warm while avoiding more intense heat. There are no signs of any prolonged unsettled weather, according to forecasters.
Overall, the coming days should bring a settled and comfortable warm summer spell, with above-average temperatures likely to dominate across the region.
