At least 22 people have died and hundreds are missing after torrential floods hit the Himalayan border areas of Nepal and Tibet in China. An avalanche of ice and rock triggered massive flash floods, causing widespread damage to villages and infrastructure.
Houses and roads swept away
Floods and mudslides have swept away houses and roads in the affected regions. Officials reported that 384 tourists, including 291 from countries such as India, the United States, the United Kingdom and Malaysia, are missing.
