Netflix has confirmed two new Top Boy series are in the works, with original stars Jasmine Jobson and Barry Keoghan returning to expand the award-winning gang drama's universe.
The first, working title Jaq, will focus on Dushane Hill's right-hand woman, played by Jasmine Jobson. The six-part series has not yet revealed its plot, but filming is scheduled to begin next year.
Jaq's story ended on a hopeful note as she left the drug trade to raise her baby nephew after her sister died of an accidental overdose. Whether her past will catch up with her remains to be seen.
Jonny Boy prequel explores origin story
The second series, titled Jonny Boy, is a five-part prequel starring Barry Keoghan, known for Saltburn and Peaky Blinders. It will explore Jonny McGee's origin story “through a new bold lens,” long before his path crossed with Sully's.
In the third Netflix series (fifth overall including the original Channel 4 shows), Jonny was killed by Sully, played by Kane Robinson, at his uncle's care home.
Jonny Boy is being produced by Keoghan and Des Byrne's company Wolfcub Productions, which has described it as their “passion project.” Filming is set to begin in 2027.

Netflix also confirmed an adaptation of Bella Mackie's novel How to Kill Your Family, starring Anya Taylor-Joy, and a new drama The Unheard featuring Kate Winslet and Maxine Peake, from Adolescence co-creator Jack Thorne.
