Jimmy King (Nick Miles) is currently unconscious after crashing into Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) and Dawn Taylor's (Olivia Bromley) wedding marquee in Emmerdale. The bumbling yet lovable character has been facing marriage challenges with Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) recently, as Jimmy secretly dealt with money concerns while Nicola worried their long-surviving connection was changing.
Signs of a reunion appeared in today's episode when Jimmy told Nicola to meet him at their special place on the grounds of Home Farm for a surprise. But in a classic soap twist, the happiness looks set to be snatched away.
Is Jimmy leaving Emmerdale?
News was shared earlier this year that Nick Miles is leaving his role as Jimmy King after 22 years. After Jimmy left the house to prepare his surprise for Nicola, Joe and Dawn were at the venue. Dawn had changed her mind about leaving Joe for Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) and was in the marquee begging Joe for another chance. Just as Dawn asked Joe if he will still marry her, Jimmy crashed his car into them.
Will Jimmy King die in Emmerdale?
While there is no official confirmation that Jimmy will die this week, reports have heavily indicated the character is being killed off. With Joe, Dawn and Jimmy lying unconscious in the middle of the wedding marquee wreckage, the chance of them all surviving seems slim.
It is also known that Olivia Bromley is set to depart as Dawn at some point. The question remains whether the ITV soap will kill Dawn and Jimmy off in the same week.
