Temperatures are set to climb again in Greater Manchester later this week, according to the Met Office, after a brief cooler spell brought some rain relief.
Cooler Conditions Ease but Not for Long
The region has experienced multiple heatwaves this summer with very little rainfall. Two moor fires in Greenfield and Tintwistle have been burning for weeks, with crews still working at both scenes and road closures in place. Temperatures dipped in recent days, and spells of rain on July 26 provided some respite.
Forecast for the Week
Monday (July 27) is expected to see fresher conditions with highs of 19C and showers in the morning and around 7pm. Overnight temperatures will only drop by a couple of degrees before warmer weather returns on Tuesday.
Tuesday is forecast to reach 26C, starting overcast but with sunny intervals in the afternoon. Wednesday will be similar, with top temperatures of 25C and sunny intervals throughout the day. However, temperatures are expected to fall before next weekend, with highs of 21C forecast on Thursday and Friday.
