A powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake has struck Colombia, with tremors felt in the capital Bogota and as far as the border with Venezuela.

Epicenter and Depth

The epicenter was in Choco province, on the Pacific coast, according to the Colombian geological service. The earthquake occurred at a depth of around 115 kilometers.

Impact

Several parts of the country were impacted, including Medellín, the capital of Colombia's mountainous Antioquia province. Witnesses reported feeling the tremor near the Venezuelan border.
