Jason Momoa was forced to evacuate his home in Oahu, Hawaii, as the island state experiences its worst flooding in two decades. The actor shared on Instagram that he and his family left the North Shore after losing power, stating they were safe but sending love to those affected.
More than 2,000 people remained without power on Sunday after a storm prompted evacuation orders for 5,500 residents north of Honolulu, which were later lifted. Over 200 people were rescued from rising waters. Oahu's North Shore, known for big-wave surfing, was submerged under muddy floodwaters after heavy rains fell on already saturated soil.
Governor Josh Green estimated the storm's cost could exceed $1 billion, including damage to airports, schools, roads, homes, and a Maui hospital. He said the White House assured federal support. Momoa's band postponed a scheduled performance, and the actor was seen distributing meals to displaced residents with his girlfriend, Adria Arjona.
