The weather has again disrupted the tennis calendar, with the DC Open finals in Washington postponed to Monday and the Canadian Open in Montreal facing rain delays.
On Sunday, the women's and men's singles finals at the DC Open were cancelled and rescheduled for Monday. Jessica Pegula leads Alexandra Eala 6-4 1-2 in the women's final, which is set to resume at 12pm local time (5pm UK). After that, Taylor Fritz and Rafael Jodar will contest the men's championship match.
Canadian Open hit by delays
Meanwhile, in Canada, the ATP and WTA 1000 events in Montreal and Toronto have seen minimal play due to rain. The women's event is in Toronto, where British star Katie Boulter is scheduled to play her first-round match. The ATP event in Montreal saw play rained off on Sunday, and matches on Monday have already been delayed by at least an hour.
British players Jack Draper, Cameron Norrie, and Jacob Fearnley are all on Monday's order of play in Montreal, but the forecast remains uncertain.
Organisers confirmed the delay, stating: "Schedule Update Due to the current weather conditions, there will be no play before 12:00 PM. Further updates will be provided as conditions continue to be assessed."
