A man has died after a light aircraft crashed in a field in Worplesdon, near Guildford, Surrey. Emergency services were called to the scene after receiving reports that the aircraft had come down shortly after 3.30pm on Tuesday, October 6.
Pilot pronounced dead at scene
The pilot, a man in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
Police officers, fire crews and paramedics attended the incident. Further details about the cause of the crash have not yet been released.
