Two lanes are closed on the M60 clockwise carriageway tonight following a vehicle fire, causing significant traffic disruption in Greater Manchester.
The closures are in place between Junction 15 (Swinton Interchange) and Junction 17 (Bury New Road), with the incident first reported at around 6.46pm.
Congestion and delays
Traffic data company Inrix reported: "Two lanes closed and slow traffic due to vehicle fire on M60 clockwise between J15 M61 J1 (Swinton Interchange) and J17 A56 Bury New Road (Prestwich / Whitefield). Congestion to Junction 13 (Worsley)."
