Traffic has been held on the M1 northbound between junctions 22 and 23 near Leicester following a collision, National Highways has said.
Long delays and congestion
Drivers face delays of around 60 minutes, with approximately six miles of congestion on the approach to the incident. The agency has urged motorists to allow extra time if travelling in the area.
In a post on X, National Highways wrote: "Traffic is being held on the #M1 northbound between J22 and J23 near #Leicester due to a collision. There are long delays of 60 minutes and approx. 6 miles of congestion. Please allow extra time if you're travelling in the area. Updates to follow."
