An easyJet flight from Manchester Airport to Copenhagen was forced to divert to Newcastle on July 28 after a passenger required urgent medical attention.
Flight details
The flight, EZY2237, was scheduled to depart Manchester at 6:50pm but left shortly after 8pm. It was diverted to Newcastle, landing at 9:45pm. The aircraft departed Newcastle again at around 10:10pm and arrived in Copenhagen at 12:30am.
easyJet statement
An easyJet spokesperson said: "Flight EZY2237 from Manchester to Copenhagen yesterday diverted to Newcastle, due to a customer onboard requiring urgent medical attention." The customer was met by medical services upon arrival, and the flight continued to Copenhagen. The airline stated that safety and wellbeing of customers and crew is always its highest priority.
