Six people, including a child, have been found dead after a small biplane crashed in rural America. The bodies were discovered in a densely wooded area in Dellona, Sauk County, following the incident on the evening of October 14.
Crash Details Emerge
The fixed-wing Piper aircraft was flying from Kenosha to Menomonie when it came down at 9.40pm. Investigators are looking into whether a freak weather event could have caused the plane to crash over a forest with five adults and a child on board.
Before the crash, the aircraft was reported to be in contact with a nearby air traffic control tower. When police arrived at the scene, several neighbours were already searching the area after seeing a low-flying plane.
Search and Recovery
In the desperate search for survivors, all six passengers were found but declared dead at the scene. Police said that the identities of those involved are being withheld at this time. There were no injuries to anyone on the ground.
This is a breaking news story and more details are expected to follow.
