A man walking his dog in the Malvern Hills inadvertently filmed a fast-moving object that has sparked widespread speculation. Andrew Clifton, 40, from Minety, Wiltshire, was recording himself throwing a frisbee for his Labrador, Dash, on Saturday, August 2, when the object shot across the frame.
Clifton did not notice the anomaly until later that day when reviewing the footage. After slowing the video down, he saw a small, fast-moving object that he described as 'moving faster than the eye can see'. He shared the clip with friends, who encouraged him to post it in a UFO sightings Facebook group, where it quickly went viral.
The video has since amassed millions of views across Facebook and X (formerly Twitter). Some viewers have suggested it could be extraterrestrial, while others remain sceptical. Clifton said he is not a 'super believer' but thinks it is unwise to assume there is nothing out there. He speculated it might be military equipment, but admitted he cannot fully explain it.
Clifton emphasised that the only editing he performed was slowing the footage down, dismissing claims that it was generated by artificial intelligence. The incident has reignited debate about unidentified aerial phenomena in the UK.
