Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife review: music, pools and family fun

Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife is a five-star resort in Playa Paraíso, on Tenerife's southwestern coast, about 30 minutes from Tenerife South Airport. The hotel offers direct access to the coast and combines family-friendly facilities with adults-only spaces, extensive entertainment, and several dining options.

Music memorabilia and themed rooms

Guests are greeted in the reception area by one of Sir Elton John's tour costumes and a guitar played by Matt Healy of The 1975 during the band's 2016 United States tour. Memorabilia from different eras includes items linked to Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Amy Winehouse, Taylor Swift, Guns N' Roses, and The Who.

The hotel has 624 rooms and suites across two towers, Oasis and Nirvana. Each room continues the music theme, with a speaker already available and a QR code next to the shower that provides a playlist. Guests can also request a real Fender electric guitar and headphones for free. The Rock Royalty category offers luxury suites, VIP services, and private access areas, with features such as furnished balconies or terraces, spacious bathrooms, and views across the gardens, pools, or Atlantic Ocean.

Pools, kids' clubs, and spa

The hotel has three swimming pools: the Lago Pool, a natural-water lagoon with a beach area; the Splash Pool, designed for younger children; and the adults-only Eden pool, which has a swim-up bar. The Hard Rock Roxity Kids Club is split into three sections: Lullaby for ages six months to three years, with professional caretakers available for up to two hours per session at no extra cost; Roxity for ages four to 11, offering creative workshops, music video labs, talent shows, mapping games, and outdoor sports; and Teen Spirit for ages 12 to 17, an adult-free zone with PlayStation consoles, a teen casino, virtual reality simulators, a DJ booth, and table football.

The Rock Spa offers treatments and wellness facilities, including a shaded outdoor water-circuit pool inside the adults-only spa. The fitness centre has a fully equipped gym.

Dining and rooftop bar

Dining options include Montauk, a premium steakhouse with views over the beach and pool; The Beach Club, serving Mediterranean cuisine with Spanish dishes; and Sessions, a buffet restaurant with local, Spanish, and international flavours. The hotel offers All-Inclusive, Bed & Breakfast, and Half Board packages. Le Petit Chef provides an immersive dining experience combining food, technology, and a projected virtual story. The rooftop bar, The 16th, offers signature cocktails and panoramic views.

Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife, based on two adults sharing a Classic Resort View room on a Bed & Breakfast basis, starts from £218 per night. Return flights from Liverpool with easyJet are priced from £58 this December.
