Married At First Sight USA fans have voiced a common grievance just days into the new series, with many distracted by a recurring detail in the show's weddings.
The latest season, which premiered on E4, has seen five couples meet for the first time at the altar. However, viewers quickly noticed that all weddings took place at the same venue, Hotel Viata in Austin, Texas.
Taking to social media, one fan wrote: 'The same venue my god, i thought it was a total scrooge when it came to spending money nothing like the production team on.' Another commented: 'I miss the different locations as they made the weddings a bit as they had stunning places but this hotel seems dull.'
Criticism continued with remarks such as: 'Did they get a discount on the venue as it seems like all the weddings are in the same place,' and 'Is the American economy really that bad that they could only have all the weddings in one place to save money?'
This contrasts with the UK version, which uses various venues including historic landmarks. Additionally, British viewers may be surprised to learn that MAFS USA couples enter legally recognised marriages and must sign pre-nuptial agreements.
