Gregg Wallace Announces 12-Hour TikTok Live Cooking Show After BBC Exit
Gregg Wallace Launches 12-Hour TikTok Cooking Show Post-BBC

Former MasterChef presenter Gregg Wallace has unveiled plans for an ambitious 12-hour live cooking show, set to broadcast exclusively on his TikTok account. The programme, titled Gregg's Kitchen, will commence at 10am this Sunday, featuring Wallace alongside special guests including the proprietors of Malik Butchers, a Wolverhampton-based business known for its social media presence.

BBC Departure and Misconduct Allegations

This announcement follows Wallace's dismissal from the BBC in July 2025, after an internal investigation into historical misconduct allegations. The inquiry substantiated multiple accusations against the presenter, leading to his termination from the broadcaster.

Details of the Investigation Findings

The review upheld 45 out of 83 allegations against Wallace, with most incidents occurring between 2005 and 2018. Among the substantiated claims was one instance of unwelcome physical contact. The report noted that the majority of confirmed allegations involved inappropriate sexual language and humour, while a smaller number related to other inappropriate language and being in a state of undress.

Wallace had stepped away from his MasterChef role in November 2024 as the investigation commenced. He co-presented the popular cooking programme from 2005 until his departure.

Gregg's Kitchen Show Format

In a promotional video shared on Malik Butchers' Facebook page, Wallace enthusiastically described the upcoming event: "We are going to be cooking some amazing dishes, we are going to have some incredible guests, lots of cookery, lots of live chat and more importantly lots of very good offers for you to buy on TikTok shop."

Wallace's Public Response

Following the investigation's conclusions, Wallace issued a public apology, stating he was "deeply sorry for any distress caused" and emphasising that he "never set out to harm or humiliate." His new venture represents a significant shift to digital platforms after his traditional broadcasting career.

The 12-hour live format marks a substantial commitment to TikTok's growing live streaming capabilities, potentially setting a new benchmark for culinary content on social media platforms. The inclusion of commercial elements through TikTok Shop integration suggests a blended approach of entertainment and e-commerce.
