A woman was left baffled after discovering that defrosted raw meat kept disappearing from her refrigerator. With 14 cats in her home, she suspected her pets but couldn't understand how they were accessing the sealed appliance.
Determined to solve the mystery, she set up a hidden camera in her kitchen. The footage revealed a black and white tuxedo cat balancing on the freezer handle and using its front paws to prise the door open, while three accomplices waited nearby.
However, the owner had secured the two fridge doors together, preventing them from opening wide enough for the cats to reach the food. When the owner entered, the cats quickly dispersed and began meowing as if nothing had happened.
"I had to lock down the fridge I store their defrosted raw food when I caught this," the owner wrote on TikTok, where the video gained over 12.8 million views. "I kept thinking I didn't shut the door enough but cats are too smart!"
Viewers shared similar experiences, with one noting: "It's always a tuxedo cat. Mine is the reason we have child locks on everything."
