Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise has reportedly made a contract demand amid speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool. The former Crystal Palace star has asked for a clause in a new deal that would allow him to leave the Bundesliga club under specific circumstances, according to Spanish outlet Sport.
Olise seeks release clause in Bayern talks
The report claims Bayern are obliging the request, though German outlet BILD suggest some within the club are concerned by the Frenchman's eagerness to sign an extension. Olise's current agreement runs until the summer of 2029, with the Bavarians reportedly keen to tie him down until 2032.
Liverpool were linked with the winger during the summer transfer window, but the Reds instead moved for Bradley Barcola and Victor Munoz on the flanks. The campaign resumes this weekend with Liverpool hosting Manchester City at Anfield, a game that could give head coach Andoni Iraola an indication of which areas of the squad still need addressing despite six new arrivals this summer.
Nallo returns from Helsinki loan
Liverpool youngster Amara Nallo has returned to Anfield after his loan move to HJK Helsinki was terminated due to injury. The 19-year-old defender joined the Finnish side in July until the end of the Veikkausliiga campaign, which wraps up in November.
Nallo is back on Merseyside to undergo rehabilitation after it became apparent he would not return to fitness in time. The former West Ham United centre-back, who has made three senior appearances for Liverpool, started three times for HJK.
HJK confirmed in an official statement: “Amara Nallo's loan spell at HJK has ended due to an injury. Nallo, who previously served as captain of Liverpool’s U21 team, arrived at Klubi in July on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.
“After receiving his work permit, the 19-year-old centre-back managed to play two Veikkausliiga matches in August, as well as an away game against Motherwell in the Conference League qualifiers.
“An injury kept Nallo on the sidelines for all of September, and he will not recover in time before the end of the Veikkausliiga season. The centre-back has already returned to Liverpool to rehabilitate his leg injury. Thank you for the visit, Amara!”
Liverpool confirmed Nallo’s return, with the defender now set to undergo his recovery at the AXA Training Centre.
