Kindle Scribe Hits Lowest Price Ever, But New Model Looms

Amazon's Black Friday sale has begun, offering the Kindle Scribe at a record low price of £214.99. This marks a £115 saving from its original £329.99 price tag, making it the cheapest the device has ever been sold on the platform, according to price tracker Camelcamelcamel.

The Kindle Scribe is Amazon's largest e-reader, featuring a 10.2-inch display and a pen stylus for note-taking. Users can write in e-books, create notebooks, or mark up documents. However, the deal comes with a caveat: a second-generation Kindle Scribe is set to launch on 4 December for £379.99.

The new model offers an updated design and allows direct writing on e-book pages, unlike the current version which relies on sticky notes. Amazon has confirmed that the older Scribe will receive a software update later this year, including some AI features, but it remains unclear if it will match all the new model's capabilities.
