Google Pixel 10 Review: AI Excellence in Familiar Design, Now £300 Off for Black Friday

The Google Pixel 10 may look nearly identical to its predecessor, but under the hood, it packs significant upgrades centered on artificial intelligence. Powered by the new Tensor G5 chip, the phone enables on-device AI features like Magic Cue, which proactively suggests replies based on context from your apps. The camera has also been improved, with ProRes zoom offering up to 100x magnification.

Design-wise, the Pixel 10 retains the flat-edged frame and pill-shaped camera bump introduced with the Pixel 9. It feels premium in hand, with a soft-touch matte glass back that resists fingerprints. New hardware refinements include Qi2 magnetic charging, compatible with MagSafe accessories, improved downfiring speakers, a faster under-display fingerprint sensor, and a brighter display.

While the Tensor G5 delivers snappy performance, its real strength lies in powering AI features without cloud dependency. Magic Cue, however, is currently limited to Google Messages, which limits its utility for users who primarily use WhatsApp or other messaging apps. The 'At a Glance' widget offers useful live updates like sports scores and Uber status on the lock screen.
