After years of loyalty to iRobot's Roomba, I was hesitant to test the Eufy X10 Pro Omni. But two weeks of use have turned me into a convert. The X10 Pro Omni is a two-in-one robot vacuum and mop with a self-emptying base and water tank, offering more features than my previous Roomba j7+ at a lower price.
The initial setup was frustrating. The Eufy Clean app lacks the hand-holding of iRobot's app, leaving users to figure out mapping and scenarios on their own. However, once past the learning curve, the robot's performance impressed. It boasts the strongest suction of any Eufy model and uses iPath LIDAR navigation, which works in the dark.
The X10 Pro Omni's design includes a protruding LIDAR sensor and a large omni station housing two mopping water tanks and a dust bag. The robot empties automatically into the bag. Despite the app's shortcomings, the vacuum's cleaning ability and hands-off operation won me over.
After two weeks of real-world testing in a two-bed flat with a shedding dog, the Eufy X10 Pro Omni proved worthy of replacing my trusted Roomba. It delivers on its promise of a hands-off cleaning experience, making it a strong contender in the robot vacuum market.
