Amazon has reduced the price of Apple's second-generation AirTag four-pack to £89, undercutting Apple's own £99 price tag. The deal works out at £22.25 per AirTag, cheaper than the usual £29 for a single device.
New features and compatibility
The second-generation model, launched earlier this year, includes upgrades to location tracking, range and speaker. It works with Apple's Find My app to help users keep track of items such as keys, wallets, holiday luggage and pets.
Setup involves a one-tap process, and the AirTag provides step-by-step directions on an iPhone. For the first time, it is also compatible with the Apple Watch Series 9 or later.
The new model uses the same Ultra Wideband chip found in the iPhone 17 series, which helps locate misplaced items from up to 50% further away than the original AirTag. It also has an upgraded Bluetooth chip for expanded range, a speaker that is 50% louder, and the ability to share a location with a trusted person. Apple says the AirTag can run for more than a year on a standard replaceable battery.
Alternatives and user feedback
Full features require iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 or later. Shoppers who prefer a lower price could opt for the original AirTag four-pack, reduced to £59 (was £79) at Joybuy. AirTags only work with Apple devices, so Android users may consider alternatives such as the Tile By Life360 Mate, which is compatible with Android, Amazon and Google devices and costs £29.99 for a twin pack at Argos.
At Amazon, the AirTag four-pack has a 4.6-star rating from more than 4,100 reviews. One shopper said: "Great for keeping track of valuables. I have them everywhere as I have a shocking habit of mislaying all sorts of things. Perfect solution for keeping tabs on keys, bags and car."
Another wrote: "Fantastic, must have for your pets. Bought two for my kittens as they like to play around the garden and I’m afraid of them getting lost. They are fantastic, I can use the app to find them and can alert them while calling them and hear where they are."
Some reviews were more mixed. A four-star review said: "Fantastic product, very easy to use, very accurate. I gave it four stars as I wish it was smaller and the noise it makes should be louder." A five-star review noted: "It’s not the cheapest tracker but when it comes to locating stuff these are really, really good. I always pop one in my checked luggage and have good tracking pretty much anywhere in the world, good to know your bag is actually travelling with you."
