Sunderland cybersecurity firm OneClickComply gets £1m backing
OneClickComply secures £1m to support expansion

Sunderland-based cybersecurity company OneClickComply has raised £1m to support its expansion. The firm provides a 'one click fix' that helps businesses comply with security standards.

The investment comes from the North East Accelerate Fund, managed by Mercia Ventures, and from the Venture Sunderland Fund and Northstar EIS Growth Fund, both managed by Northstar Ventures.

Automating up to 90% of compliance work

OneClickComply says it can automate up to 90% of the work involved in companies meeting security standards. Its platform continuously monitors IT systems, automates processes such as penetration testing and vulnerability management, generates policies and gathers information for auditors.

The company was launched in 2024 by Connor Greig, who identified the need to simplify cyber compliance in his previous role working with businesses within the Octopus Group. It now employs 12 staff and serves dozens of customers, ranging from a leading fast food brand to solo traders.

Revenue growth and job creation

The company has doubled monthly recurring revenue in the past six months and aims to achieve similar growth in the six months ahead. The latest funding brings the total raised to date to over £2.4m and will enable the business to further enhance its technology, boost sales and customer service, and create four new jobs.

Mr Greig said: "Every business now gets asked to prove its systems are secure, usually by a customer who’s about to sign. The answer shouldn’t be three months and a consultant.

"We automate 90% of the work, fix the issues we find instead of just reporting them, and keep everything in place afterwards, which is the part everyone forgets about. That’s why we’ve doubled revenue in six months - because this problem isn’t going anywhere."

Investor support and market demand

Owen Conquest, from Mercia Ventures, said: "OneClickComply offers a unique value proposition through its ability to automatically detect and remediate data compliance issues without the need for specialist intervention. This investment will support the company’s continued growth, enabling it to capitalise on the increasing demand for automated compliance solutions driven by strong regulatory and market tailwinds."

Tom O’Neill, investment manager at Northstar Ventures, added: "We’re very pleased to support OneClickComply with further investment from our Venture Sunderland Fund and EIS Growth Fund. The business has grown significantly since our initial investment and it is tapping into an increasingly complex compliance and cyber security market where the risks of a breach or non-compliance are continuously rising. Congratulations to Connor and the team."

The North East Accelerate Fund offers up to £1m investment for early-stage companies across the region. It was established by The North East Fund with the support of the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority.
